The Reluctant Groom
Reyansh Rathore stood in front of the mirror, adjusting his tie for what felt like the hundredth time. He couldn't believe that this was actually happening. He was getting married.
"Reyansh, beta, come downstairs," his mother called out from the living room. "The baraat is here."
Reyansh took a deep breath and tried to calm his racing heart. He had always known that his parents would want him to get married eventually, but he had never expected it to happen like this.
He walked downstairs, trying to put on a brave face. His parents were beaming with pride, and his friends were all grinning at him.
"Reyansh, my boy, you look so handsome," his father said, patting him on the back.
Reyansh forced a smile, feeling like he was trapped in some kind of nightmare. He had never even met the girl he was supposed to marry. All he knew was that her name was Adhira Sharma, and that she was a college student.
As the baraat made its way to the wedding venue, Reyansh couldn't help but feel a sense of dread. What was he getting himself into?
When they arrived at the venue, Reyansh was greeted by a sea of unfamiliar faces. He spotted Adhira standing across from him, looking beautiful in her red wedding sari.
Reyansh felt a pang of guilt as he looked at Adhira. She seemed so happy and excited, and he couldn't help but feel like he was ruining her special day.
As the wedding ceremony began, Reyansh felt like he was going through the motions. He exchanged vows with Adhira, but his heart wasn't in it.
As they were pronounced husband and wife, Reyansh felt a sense of resignation wash over him. He was married now, and there was no going back.
